BIOVEXO wins 1st Prize in CBE JU Photo Competition

BIOVEXO is delighted to announce it has been awarded First Prize in the Micro & Macro Category of the CBE JU’s Photography Competition 2023

20 CBE JU-funded projects, both ongoing and completed, submitted entries to this year’s competition and competition was tough, so it was a real honour to be chosen by the judging panel, composed of experts from the European Commission, the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC), and the CBE JU Programme Office.

The Micro & Macro Category was not the only one in which BIOVEXO was in the running for a prize – we also had an image selected by the judges to participate in the Public Voting Round. Unfortunately, BIOVEXO was only able to take the third-placed prize in the public vote, behind the winners, the SUSFERT project. Second place was taken by the UNLOCK project in a nail-biting race on LinkedIn that went down to the final minutes! Well done to both projects for an excellent competition!

The prize for the winner of each category in the CBE JU Photography Competition 2023 was a free ticket to the European Forum For Industrial Biotechnology & The Bioeconomy (EFIB) 2023 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. BIOVEXO very much looks forward to showing off the work we are doing to develop innovative biopesticides to fight Xylella there in October!
